Refund Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

The promise

14 days, no questions asked. If jhint isn’t for you, write to support@jhint.ai within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it in full.

No explanation is needed, and using the app during that time doesn’t disqualify you. We would rather return the money than keep a payment from someone the product didn’t help.

How to ask

Send one email to support@jhint.ai from the address you used at checkout, or quote your licence key. Nothing else is required — no form, no call, no retention offer.

We have no accounts, so the licence key or the payment email is how we find your purchase.

How the money comes back

Refunds are paid out by Paddle, our merchant of record, so the money returns by the same route it came — the card or payment method you used. That usually takes a few business days after approval, depending on your bank.

Once a refund is issued, no new licence access is granted. A previously issued offline access token may continue to work until it expires, for no more than seven days. The same rule applies to subscription and campaign refunds alike.

The free trial

The 7-day trial exists so that a refund is rarely needed: you can try every feature before the first charge. A payment method is required to start the trial, and cancelling before it ends means you are never charged — there is nothing to refund in that case.

The trial is available once per email address. If you subscribe again after having used it, you are charged on the day you subscribe, and the 14-day refund window described above applies to that charge.

You can cancel in the app under Settings → License → Manage subscription, which opens Paddle’s customer portal.

Renewals

The 14 days run from your first charge and from each renewal. If a subscription renewed and you no longer want it, the same promise applies to that renewal.

If you cancel without asking for a refund, the licence keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Changing plan

Moving between plans mid-period is not a new purchase, so it does not start a new 14-day window. Paddle calculates the prorated charge or credit, and you see any amount due before you confirm — the window that is already running on your first charge or your latest renewal is unaffected.

This paragraph limits only the voluntary promise above. Any rights you have under applicable consumer law, and Paddle’s own refund policy as merchant of record, apply regardless of what we promise here.

Campaign purchases

Purchases made during a campaign are covered by the same 14-day, no-questions-asked promise as any other purchase, whether or not the campaign has closed. This is in addition to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

A campaign purchase is a single payment for a fixed term of access — it does not renew, and nothing is charged again when the term ends.

Your statutory rights

This promise is in addition to any right the law gives you — for instance the right of withdrawal that consumers in the EU and the UK have for digital purchases. Nothing here reduces those rights.

Because Paddle is the seller of record, its Buyer Terms also apply to the transaction.
